About Us

Rod Hyland, with a background in the motor industry is our principal assessor. Rod has experience with panel repair, machinery and heavy motor repair, structural fabrication, crash and paint work, auto dismantling and importation. This experience gives Rod a sound knowledge in automobile structure, how they work, and the results that impact causes.

Rod has been assessing since 1994 when he joined Wayne Jones and Associates as a Director and Shareholder. His assessments include light, moderate and heavy motor vehicles, specialising in Heavy Motor Machinery, Public Liability and Motor claims for clients such as Lumley Insurance, Vero Insurance, Axiom, Zurich, Motor and General, Budget, Avis, Fletcher Group, NZI, IAG and many other companies. He also has extensive experience with General, Fire and Marine Claims.

John Westlake is an Automotive Mechanic by trade, specialising in Heavy Motor and Agriculture machinery. John has work experience in NZ and Canada and has been a service manager for Norwoods. His insurance background encompasses FMG, NZI and now Northland Loss Adjusters. He has assisted with policy writing, commercial and domestic sales and has been head Heavy Motor Assessor at NZI for numerous years.

Our support network includes Glynn Wilson from V-Cert NZ, along with engineers, metallurgists & testing agencies.

Our staff regularly attend training courses to stay fully up to date with current technology and repair methods.

Admin Team

We have four experienced office staff who are knowledgeable on the latest file sharing and reporting systems. All staff are fully compliant with both desktop and mobile assessing and have the latest technology available to assist them.
